#21 Go to Comic-Con

So this past weekend was amazing. I have officially started the list, and I think this one was a good pick. For those who have never been to Comic Con, you are missing out!
Comic-Con 2010
So last Christmas I gave my sister a ticket to Comic-Con, and while I knew she would like them, I really wanted to go too. I've been looking forward to this all summer and finally the time came! I made myself a Dr. Who t-shirt (see above - bowties ARE cool) and packed us a lunch. By 6am we were on the road to San Diego!
Stormtroopers!
For you Spirited Away fans

Next year, my costume will rock, too.

It was cool to see everyone dressed up. I will have to step up my costume game next year. There were all kinds of people, in all kinds of costume from superheros to star wars to anime to random whatever. The booths down in the exhibit hall was both impressive and overwhelming. After an hour, I was pretty much done. Lots of cool art and over priced action figures, and of course, comic books!
DC booth - one of the bigger ones
BUMBLEBEE!
Yeah the guys hot, but check out the lightcycle!
I'd have to say my favorite part of all of it was the panels. We went to one with Neal Adams (X-Men, Batman) and Stan Lee (Spiderman) where they discussed their Holocaust stories project (sneek peek!) with a Q&A after. We also got to learn how Pixar develops their stories through storyboarding. How cool, right?? I could have gone all four days and just listened to panels. Fascinating!
Neal Adams and Stan Lee (a little blurry, sorry)
Overall it was an interesting and busy day. I am definitely going back for more next year! Oh the geek in me is SO happy!
San Diego trolley sign. Yes, it's in Klingon.
